Fantastic book! I couldn’t put it down! it was riveting! Amazing stories of true crime and other detective narratives. You will not be able to put this book down.. Each and every story is articulated, easily read and hard to put down. Highly recommend!

Good read Solid and Realistic view of a police work. And the wide range of crime and violence experienced by the Patrol Officer and Detective. Well DONE!

Seldom so I read a book. This one was given to me by a friend who enjoyed the book and suggested I read it. I have a new appreciation for what our police officers go though and endure. This book is hard hitting to the point and easy reading. I couldn’t put it down when I started reading and finished the book in 2 days.

Thomas Carlyle once wrote: “Let each man be all he was created capable of being” You would think he knew James Mitchell personally, for he is I couldn’t wait to finish this book. Jim is my neighbor and I am amazed that he is still a kind, funny, and empathetic person. even after these incredible experiences. He is one of many who took their vow to serve and protect very seriously and never wavered.

Thank God for these incredible men and women. epitome of that which Carlyle spoke of. Precise and intriguing as the stories he has chosen to tell us, this book is compendium of what every ,an and woman is blue faces on a daily basis. Will you, after reading his stories be more aware, that men like him exist for one purpose and that is make sure you and I are safe from harm? Jim, Thank you for your service!

I came across your “My Hero is a Deputy Sheri and he is my daddy” book today. I lost my father
who was a police o icer a year age December 9th. Finding this randomly today reminded me how he
is still watching over me. As a child psychotherapist, I can really use the message of this book in my

I have taught school for almost fifty years, 10 with 5th and 6th graders. The last 38 years with
preschoolers. All children have the same thing in common. They want to brag about their dads!
When dad is a law enforcement o icer, it may be hard for some children due to their own opinions.
